Our smoothies and milkshakes sold very fast. i was glad that the weather was very hot because that made a lot of people come buy from u,s becuase they wanted something cool and refreshing. all the business students that participated in the expo did very well.
Exams!!!!
My first day of studying started Friday night. I stayed up late and studied until i couldn't go anymore. Exams are always hectic because there is a lot of studying involved. It is also good because we know that school school is closed whenever exam time comes around. i hope that my friends and classmates are studying so that they can pass and have a good GPA. Studying may get you tired but don't give up, keep pushing!

Obama's Speech!
Best speech for the year so far. Obama said what he had to say straight and to the point. many people have waited for Bin Laden's death in order to bring some closure in their lives. Obama carried out what he said that he would do. I believe that he already won his election. Kudos to Obama!!!
Bin Laden is Dead!!

WASHINGTON - Osama bin Laden, the face of global terrorism and architect of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, was killed in a firefight with elite American forces Monday, then quickly buried at sea in a stunning finale to a furtive decade on the run.
Long believed to be hiding in caves, Bin Laden was tracked down in a costly, custom-built hideout not far from a Pakistani military academy.
"Justice has been done," President Barack Obama said in a dramatic announcement at the White House while a crowd cheered outside and hundreds more gathered at ground zero in Manhattan to celebrate the news.
The military operation took mere minutes.
U.S. helicopters ferrying elite counter-terrorism troops into the compound identified by the CIA as bin Laden's hideout -- and back out again in less than 40 minutes. Bin Laden was shot in the head, officials said, after he and his bodyguards resisted the assault.
Three adult males were also killed in the raid, including one of bin Laden's sons, whom officials did not name. One of bin Laden's sons, Hamza, is a senior member of al Qaeda. U.S. officials also said one woman was killed when she was used as a shield by a male combatant, and two other women were injured.

Low radiation levels found in WA state milk
(AP)

WASHINGTON - Very low levels of radiation turned up in a sample of milk from Washington state, the Environmental Protection Agency and the Food and Drug Administration said Wednesday, but federal officials assured consumers not to worry.

The FDA said such findings were to be expected in the coming days because of the nuclear crisis in Japan, and that the levels were expected to drop relatively quickly.
Japan's Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear power complex began leaking radiation after it was damaged by a devastating earthquake and tsunami earlier this month.
Results from a March 25 milk sample taken from Spokane, Wash., showed levels of radioactive Iodine-131 that were still 5,000 times below levels of concern set by the FDA, including levels set for infants and children.
"Radiation is all around us in our daily lives, and these findings are a miniscule amount compared to what people experience every day," said Patricia Hansen, senior scientist at the FDA. "A person would be exposed to low levels of radiation on a round-trip cross-country flight, watching television, and even from construction materials."

Libya — Protests and Revolt (2011)
Libya, an oil-rich nation in North Africa, has been under the firm, if sometimes erratic, control of Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi since he seized power in 1969. But in February 2011, the unrest sweeping through much of the Arab world erupted in several Libyan cities.
Momentum shifted quickly, however, and the rebels faced the possibilty of being outgunned and outnumbered in what increasingly looked like a mismatched civil war. As Colonel Qaddafi’s troops advanced to within 100 miles of Benghazi, the rebel stronghold in the west, the United Nations Security Council voted to authorize military action, a risky foreign intervention aimed at averting a bloody rout of the rebels by loyalist forces. On March 19, American and European forces began a broad campaign of strikes against Colonel Qaddafi and his government, unleashing warplanes and missiles in a military intervention on a scale not seen in the Arab world since the Iraq war.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
March 23 Airstrikes continued to rock Tripoli as President Obamaworked to bridge differences among allies about how to manage the military campaign in Libya. Forces loyal to Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi, however, showed no sign of ending their sieges of rebel-held cities as the international effort to contain them entered its fifth day. Colonel Qaddafi made a brief but defiant appearance on Libyan television, appearing at what reporters were told was his Tripoli residence to denounce the bombing raids and pledge victory.Timeline: Qaddafi
March 22 The military campaign to destroy air defenses and establish a no-fly zone over Libya has nearly accomplished its initial objectives, and the United States is moving swiftly to hand command to allies in Europe, American officials said, but fighting continued as reports began to emerge of the crash of an American warplane. The crash, which was probably caused by mechanical failure, was the first known setback for the international coalition attacking Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi’s forces in three days of strikes authorized by the United Nations Security Council. Colonel Qaddafi's forces showed no sign of let up in their siege of rebel-cities.

Cotto stops Mayorga to retain WBA title
Puerto Rico's Miguel Cotto kept his World Boxing Association super welterweight crown by stopping Ricardo Mayorga of Nicaragua 53 seconds into the 12th round.
Cotto inflicted the only knockdown of the fight in the opening seconds of the last round during an exchange with a stunning left hook, staggering Mayorga, who went down on his knees and grabbed his left hand in pain.
Cotto now hopes for a chance to avenge a 2009 loss to Filipino superstar Manny Pacquiao or a 2008 loss to Mexico's Antonio Margarito, whose victory was tainted by a one-year ban after glove tampering was discovered in the fight after he beat Cotto.

21 Year Old Mother Murdered By Jealous Boyfriend
21 year old Christie Carrasco was at her grandmother's wake…and tonight the wake is for her, after the lively 21 year old mother was killed, stabbed to death by her boyfriend who was in the throes of a jealous rage. It is another killing borne out of domestic violence, but as Monica Bodden found out the rage of this act defies easy classification.

My phrase for the day
1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Rios Takes Victory in Boxing
In the sixth, Rios, 27, was finally able to force Acosta to engage in an inside scrap. Rios, the naturally larger fighter, started unloading his heavy hands and eventually dropped Acosta with a left jab. “I’ve got a pretty good jab … when I use it,” joked the predominantly come-forward fighter.
The knockdowns didn’t stop there. Rios, fighting out of Oxnard, Calif., continued to apply pressure and forced an off-balance Acosta to the canvas with a left in the eighth before pleasing the pro-Rios crowd in the 10th with a knockout punch that landed Acosta off his feet for the final time at 1:14 in the 10th round.
With tears of joy in his eyes after the fight, the newly-crowned champ showed tremendous modesty in his reaction. “I proved I’ve got a good chin now,” Rios said with a smile. As for what’s next for Rios, the determined fighter said he would fight anyone in the lightweight division. “Whatever Bob Arum wants,” said Rios as Arum looked on with a proud smile.

Jamelia’s Mom: I Didn’t Sell My Daughter, I Gave Her Away
More on that shortly…..but there's also a dramatic and disturbing twist - another Belizean woman who gave her two young sons to that same American woman - says she hasn't seen or heard from them in eleven years - and has no idea where they are now, especially since the woman she gave them to is facing human trafficking charges.
That one left our heads spinning….
But we start with Karen Baptist, she is the mother of Jamelia Hinds - and when Jamelia appeared on the ABC News report out of Fresno it was the first time that this mother had seen her daughter since the year two thousand.
And while she was overjoyed to see the grown up 23 year old, she wasn't at all happy with what she heard.
